Little food, water given to the pilgrims attending Pushkaralu

Kakinada: Pilgrims, government officials including police personnel entrusted with Pushkaralu duties at Rajhmundry faced great hardships on the first day of Pushkaralu as they could not get anything to eat, have tea or even water.

Officials had announced distributing nearly 12 lakh water packets per day. Some of them had to purchase water packets at Rs 5 as against the normal price of Re 1. The duty personnel were not given passes and faced hardships in entering. The pilgrims said that the government totally failed to provide amenities.
