Chennai studio officials grilled in Premam case
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cyber cell officials took the statements from the staffers of Four Frames studio, Chennai, in connection with the piracy of the censor copies of ‘Premam’ movie on Monday.
The officials under DySP Iqbal recorded the statements of 12 people, including owner-director Priyadarshan and sound engineer Rajakrishnan.
Earlier, the officials of Aries Vismaya Max studio run by director Unni Krishnan and those of the censor board were interrogated in connection with the incident.
The computer hard discs and compact discs (CD) seized were sent to the National Forensic Laboratory.
The Malayalam movie, which was touted to become the biggest grosser of all time after minting Rs 30 crore in one month, was suddenly affected by the pirated version that went viral online.
