Microsoft Lumia handsets rumoured to cost more than the next iPhone

Microsoft is on a full spree to move ahead with the launch of two new handsets - Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL this year. As reported earlier, these pablets will feature a high-resolution 20MP camera with triple LED flash.

Unusual though, Microsoft will use a polycarbonate material for its next two flagship phablets. Media reports also state that the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL handsets will come with an Iris scanner. Investing in a new material and technology for Microsoft’s Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL may result in carrying heavy price tag on it. These handsets are rumoured to be costlier than the next iPhone.

Microsoft Lumia 940 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch full HD (1920 × 1080) pixel screen and will be powered by a Snapdragon 808 chipset. Whereas, the new Lumia 940XL may sport a (2560 × 1440) pixel display and will be equipped with a Snapdragon 810 chipset.
