Beware! Google may be spying on images saved on your smartphone

You could call it an in-app feature or a flaw

Clicking a selfie or a group photo on your handset helps you capture every moment within seconds. However, no one can deny the fact that each and every photo is stored on the Google Photos app at that very moment.

While it feels good to know that one won’t lose photos that remind you of those special moments, it does interfere with the personal life of an individual. With the increasing amount of online hacks these days, there is a high possibility of hackers/unknown people sharing your photos for wrong purposes.

You may be under the notion that deleting the Google Photos app is an immediate solution to spying on your photos. However, this doesn’t stop Google from keeping an eye on your selfies/ group photos.

For instance, even after uninstalling the Google Photos app, a user named David Arnott discovered that Google saved his photos without any prior notification. The auto-backup settings basically gets saved on your handset and can't be deleted, even after getting rid of the app. It isn’t clear if this is a flaw or an in-app feature pre-installed on your phone by Google itself.
