Telangana team minus Telugu Desam meets Governor ESL Narasimhan on Palamuru
Hyderabad: An all party delegation barring the Telugu Desam, led by the ruling TRS from Mahbubnagar district took the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy and Nakkalagandi Lift irrigation issue to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan seeking his immediate intervention to stop AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s attempt to stall the projects.
Industries minister, Jupally Krishna Rao, health minister, Dr C. Laxma Reddy, Mahbubnagar TRS president B. Shiva Kumar, A. P. Jitender Reddy, MP, and others comprising TRS, Congress, CPM, YSRC met the Governor.
They requested the Governor to apprise the Centre of Mr Naidu’s conspiracy and ensure the projects are completed without hindrance.
TD leaders from Mahbubnagar did not join the delegation, but said AP is not opposed to the projects, but want the TS government to seek permission from CWC.
Mr Jupally Krishna Rao said the Governor gave a positive response and said he would ensure justice to the district. He also advised the delegation to take up the matter with statutory bodies.
Deputy chairman of planning board, Niranjan Reddy, said both projects were within Krishna basin and the TS government was at liberty to take up the projects.
