Dance artists get Chandrababu Naidu’s pat

Artists from various districts perform traditional dances
Rajahmundry: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu along with his wife Bhuvaneswari attended the inaugural function of Godavari Maha Pushkaralu in the Godavari Ghat here on Monday, and praised the officials for the special arrangements.
The artists from various parts of Godavari districts has performed many traditional dances and entertained the CM and ministers. Traditional artists association leader P. Narsimha later decorated Mr Naidu with traditional outfit ‘Kommu Paga,’ a head gear adorned with horns.
Later, the CM has unve-iled the statue of cinema actor and former CM N. Tarakarama Rao, which is constructed near the Godavari ghat marking his glory. The CM along with ministers watched Pushkara Harathi programme and also inspected a special laser light show explaining the origin of Pushkaralu.
Later sky lanterns were released into the air. Speaking on the occasion, irrigation minister Mr Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said that all the arrangements have been done and the staffs are ready to meet the rush of pilgrims for Pushkaralu. 'We made all arrangements. There will be no jeopardy', said irrigation minister Umamaheswara Rao. Pratipati Pullarao, finance minister Yanamala Rama Krishnudu, health minister Kamineni Srinivas and other dignitaries were present at the programme.
