Visakhapatnam: A six-year-old boy, crossing road at Sainagar Colony, died on the spot after being hit by an RTC bus in Anakapalle town in Visakhapatnam district on Monday evening. The deceased was identified as Alla Manoj, a Class I student in a private school in Anakapalle.
Tension prevailed for sometime as the family members and relatives of the boy tried to attack the driver of the RTC bus and staged a demonstration demanding action against the driver keeping the body in front of the bus. Manoj, son of Prabhakar, a construction worker, came back from the school in an auto-rickshaw and was crossing the road to reach home when he came under the bus. The boy's kin relented only after police promised to register a case against the RTC driver.
