Mini ice age headed our way by 2030

Possibility of a colder era can happen in 2030 when the sun lapses into a dormant state
Start collecting your winter wear — a serious winter is coming in less than two decades. After carefully monitoring the sun’s cycles, solar scientists say there will be a “mini ice age” in 2030. The findings were presented by Professor Valentina Zharkova at the National Astronomy Meeting in Llandudno.
According to the Independant, the sun has what can be best understood as an 11-year heartbeat. Within this beat are solar cycles or irregularities that scientists first noticed in 1843. Modern day data and modeling can now predict these irregularities with much better accuracy than in the past. A
report on Science Daily adds, that the new model “draws on dynamo effects in two layers of the Sun, one close to the surface and one deep within its convection zone.”
The magnetic wave patterns as studied by Zharkova’s team indicate, that “Cycle 25, which peaks in 2022 and Cycle 26, from 2030 to 2040 will both have a significant reduction in solar activity,” which will lead to the mini-ice age. Earth hasn’t had a cold spell like this since the Maunder Minimum, lasting from 1645 to 1715. This finding doesn’t bode well for those of us already living in corners of the world with deep winters.
