Irrigation minister Harish Rao takes on Chandrababu Naidu
Hyderabad: Major irrigation minister T. Harish Rao on Sunday accused AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of working against the interests of the capital especially on drinking water. He said Mr Naidu does not want to leave Hyderabad and was complaining to the Centre on every count.
He said that when the TS government wanted to improve drinking water supplies through the newly proposed Palamuru-Rangareddy lift scheme, Mr Naidu had deliberately complained to Centre against it.
“It is a clear instance, Mr Naidu does not want Hyderabad to get more projects,” Mr Rao said.
He appealed to the people to cooperate with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who has several plans to develop Hyderabad as a a global city.
He was speaking at a function at Telangana Bhavan organised to admit several TD and Congress leaders from the Khairatabad Assembly segment into the TRS.
