Andhra Pradesh gears up for Godavari Pushkarams
Maha Pushkarams occur only once in 144 years
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh geared up for the Godavari Pushkarams scheduled to start at 6.29 am on July 14 although arrangements are not fully in place. Nearly five crore pilgrims are expected to bathe all along the river. The pushkarams — dubbed Maha Pushkarams — occur only once in 144 years.
The 12-day festival would conclude on July 25. Although construction of some ghats have been completed much remains to be done. The renovation of temples are still going on and may not be completed before July 25.
