SIT probe into tapping allegation
Visakhapatnam: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Andhra Pradesh that is probing into the alleged phone-tapping by the Telangana government arrived in Vizag city on Saturday to take up further investigation into the case.
Cases were filed in III-Town police station in the city and Vizag rural stations of Yelamanchili, Anakapalle, Narsipatnam, Paykaraopeta, Chodavaram and Paderu against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on charges of tapping the phones of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, ministers and important officials. The SIT summoned the complainants to a guesthouse near Kailasagiri in the city and had discussions with them regarding the case. In all, eight members were questioned and TD organising secretary Sanapala Ranga Rao was one among them.
