Rs 91,000 crore for power in Telangana: K Chandrasekhar Rao
Hyderabad: Assuring there would be no power cuts, Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Saturday said Telangana was forging ahead in industrial development and invited new entrepreneurs to setup up units.
He also said going by the immense response to the world’s best industrial policy brought out by the government, Telangana would be the No. 1 state in the country.
Inaugurating the Rs 300 crore first bus body building unit, Deccan Auto Limited at Kodakanchi in Jinnaram mandal of Medak district, the CM asserted there would be no power cuts and the state would have 25,000 MW of power in the next four years from the present 4,320 MW.

He said Rs 91,500 crore in investments have been procured for setting up new power units in the state.
“Telangana’s new industrial policy has been applauded by one and all. We have given permissions to 17 companies in 11 days from the date of application. Any delay by officials will entail Rs 1,000 per day penalty. I am happy to have an international standard bus-building unit. The company has bagged orders from Goa, Amritsar, Chandigarh and TSRTC too will place orders,” he said.
Mr Rao also took up plantation of saplings under the Haritha Haaram programme at Patancheru Idgah where he also offered prayers.
