AIUCE stage protest demands PRC at Kakatiya University
WARANGAL: The All India Universities Employees Confederation staged a dharna at the Kakatiya University, where its twelfth conference is being held, protesting against the indifferent attitude of the Telangana government in not extending the PRC benefits to university employees.
The employees of universities in Telangana have already launched an agitation demanding that the PRC be implemented to them similar to their counterparts working in state government. The delegates staged a dharna in front of the auditorium during break time of the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, national president of AIUEC, B.S. Hota, expressed his solidarity with the employees working in Telangana state universities and extended his support to them.
“The state government should discriminate university employees who play the key role in promoting higher education in India,” he said. Secretary General M.B. Sajjan, working president Suresh Chandra Mishra, Ms. Shrabani Sen Gupta, Bharath Vyas, Biranch Roy, P. Kondal Reddy, Dr. Kola Shankar, Dr. Pulla Srinivas and others took part in dharna.
