Hyderabad: Realtor abducted by ex-MP for extortion
Builder gave Rs 25L; leader wanted Rs 40L
Hyderabad: Ex-MP V. Tulasiram allegedly abducted a realtor and tortured him to extract money from him. Tulasiram’s men came to the victim O. Sadanand’s house and took him to the ex-MP’s house at Gaganpahad and made him sign two bond papers. After his wife alerted the cops, a police team went there and rescued him. The abductors managed to flee.
The incident occurred at 9.30 am when Sadanand was at his home near Aramgarh Crossroads. “Around 14 people came in three cars and asked me to come out. Tulasiram was sitting in one of the vehicles. Though I refused, they compelled me to come out. They suddenly dragged me into a car and drove to his house. They beat me and made me sign two papers,” said the victim in the complaint.
Police said that Sadanand and another person had a deal to develop a land, and Tulasiram was the middleman. “The ex-MP had taken Rs 25 lakh from Sadanand as part of the deal. He was demanding Rs 40 lakh from Sadanand who refused. He kidnapped the victim to extort the money,” said SI J. Nagachary. Mr Sadanand alleged that Tulasiram had extorted Rs 20 lakh already and was trying to stop the deal. Tulasiram allegedly threatened Sadanand not to proceed with the deal directly and demanded Rs 40 lakh as he was the middleman.
