Priest told the cops that he had seen his wife give a flying kiss to a youth who lived in the neighborhood
A college student, who sustained serious head injuries in a fight during a cricket match in the Bondilipuram area of Srikakulam town on Saturday, died in a private hospital later while undergoing treatment.
Lucknow: A priest in Kanpur killed his wife when he saw her giving a flying kiss to a youth. The priest, who was arrested on Friday night, told the cops that he had seen his wife give a flying kiss to a youth who lived in the neighborhood. “I called the boy to ask whether my wife had illicit relations with him but he denied. I also confronted my wife Sadhana and she started blaming me for being suspicious. Our argument turned heated and in a fit of rage, I stabbed her with a pair of scissors,” he confessed.
The murder took place on June 25 and the priest Shiv Prakash told relatives as well as the police that there was loot in his house and the robbers had killed his wife. As the police continued investigations, the arrow of suspicion began pointing at the priest because no one in the neighborhood had seen anyone entering or leaving his house on the day of the incident. On investigation, the priest broke down and admitted to the crime and said, “I made a big mistake and she did not deserve to be killed.”
