Hyderabad: A Bihar native, who eloped with a 24-year-old woman from Rajendranagar, allegedly confined her in Odisha and sought Rs 3 lakh as ransom from her husband. The man sent her photos to her husband through Whatsapp and threatened to kill her.
The husband, A. Mahesh, approached the Cyberabad police. The police is investigating if it is a kidnap drama staged by the woman, A. Radhika, and the man to extort money from Ramesh.
Mahesh said his wife Radhika had gone missing on July 7. He said his wife was talking to a person on the phone since seven months. Police tracked the abductor to Odisha and a team was sent to rescue the victim. Police said Mahesh and Radhika married seven years ago and they have a six-year-old child.
