He has been arrested and is now in judicial custody
A college student, who sustained serious head injuries in a fight during a cricket match in the Bondilipuram area of Srikakulam town on Saturday, died in a private hospital later while undergoing treatment.
New Delhi: The Delhi Police is likely to dismiss the cop who has been arrested for allegedly raping his friend’s domestic help. “He has been arrested and is now in judicial custody. We are also examining his dismissal under Article 311(2)(B),” commissioner of Delhi Police B.S. Bassi said on Saturday.
“We will ensure that the chargesheet is filed at the earliest and he is convicted. As far as the departmental thing is concerned, we are not going to wait for the departmental inquiry. He will be dismissed under Article 311 (2) B where a person is dismissed straightaway,” he said.
ASI Jaiveer Singh, posted at Punjabi Bagh police station, went to his friend’s place on Thursday night and allegedly raped his maid under the influence of alcohol. A CCTV footage showed that he carried guns.
