Lingusamy to produce another Kamal Haasan film?
Kamal Haasan may do another film for producer Lingusamy to compensate the loss for his Tamil drama Uttama Villain, according to a source. While we hear that the film would be a full-on comedy entertainer, there’s also news that veteran director Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, who directed Kamal in his ace films like Michael Madana Kama Rajan might direct it, but things aren’t concrete as of now.
We also hear that the 83-year-old filmmaker is currently working on a Telugu film after which he will resume working on Kamal’s, which is to be produced by Lingusamy’s Thirrupathi Brothers. Talks were initiated a few weeks ago, but both are yet to sign on the dotted line. It is said that Kamal wanted to deliver a complete comedy entertainer, and who better to approach than Srinivasa Rao, who is known for his humour infused films?
The project might start shooting once the Ulaganayagan completes his ongoing project Thoongavanam. Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and Kamal Haasan have worked together in 7 movies, which include some of Kamal’s best work. Srinivasa Rao had met Kamal at his residence some time ago, but nothing is certain yet. If it comes to pass, it would mark the veteran director joining hands with Kamal after a decade.
