Black and blue! God versus man! Day versus night! This trailer has everything
Mumbai: A brand new trailer for "Batmanv Superman: Dawn of Justice" has landed online shortly after being screened for the fanboys during the Warner Bros panel at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend.
It three-minute trailer, viewed from Bruce Wayne's perspective, picks up form the ‘Man of Steel’ series that shows the massive destruction caused after the battle between Henry Cavill's Superman and Michael Shannon's General Zod.
"Today is a day for truth. The world needs to know what he stands for. That kind of power is dangerous. Let the record show that this city holds him responsible," says Holly Hunter who plays a senator.
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck steps in as the masked vigilante, ‘Batman’. The detailed trailer brings into account all the happening in Bruce Wayne’s life that pushes him to take on Superman. A background voice over has Ben narrating the lines, "Twenty years in Gotham. How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way? He has the power to wipe out the human race, and I must destroy him."
Superman on the other hand seems to be losing his faith in the humans and comes across as the clear victim in this war that he didn’t start in the first place. “Be everything they need you to be, or be none of it. You don’t owe this world a thing!”
"We've done stuff in Man of Steel to launch this conflict," director Zack Snyder explained during the discussion at the fan-centric convention.
Gal Gadot who plays Wonder Woman, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Jesse Eisenberg who plays Lex Luthor also make their appearances in the trailer. This movie will also mark Wonder Woman’s appearance in the series.
The trailer ends in Jesse Eisenberg narrating the lines, ‘‘Black and blue! God versus man! Day versus night! The red capes are coming.”
The movie will hit theatres in the US on March 25, 2016.
