Union minister Uma Bharti to take helm again?

Till now, the MP High Court-appointed SIT had been probing the case
New Delhi: Some Madhya Pradesh leaders also claim that former CM and Union minister Uma Bharti could also replace Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The Supreme Court had transferred criminal and death cases linked to this recruitment and examination scam to the CBI for a “fair and impartial” probe.
The Apex Court’s order came after it heard petitions in this regard. Till now, the Madhya Pradesh High Court-appointed SIT had been probing the case, assisted by the STF.
BJP insiders claim that the scam has not only tainted the party’s image, but could create more problems for it if corrective measures are not taken immediately.
The body count in the scam has reportedly touched 49. Those accused in this multi-crore-rupee scam include prominent politicians, bureaucrats and professionals. Mr Chouhan had met senior party leaders in the national capital recently to discuss the issue.
In a related development, the July 12 examinations for admissions to private dental and medical colleges have been cancelled, with a whistleblower threatening to names judges allegedly involved in a scandal relating to it. A day after Madhya Pradesh High Court directed The Association of Private Dental and Medical Colleges (APDMC) to scan OMR answer sheets of each of the candidates who will write the Dental and Medical Admission Test (DMAT) on July 12, the apex body on Friday postponed the scheduled examination.
“The exam was postponed because of technical reasons,” APDMC chairman, Dr V.K. Mahadik said. APDMC conducts DMAT exam for granting admission to private dental and medical colleges of Madhya Pradesh.
