Chennai: A day after a showdown between students of two schools in Purusaiwalkam was averted, three students were placed under suspension by administration of ELM Fabricious higher secondary school on Friday.Though the students of ELM, who had gathered in front of MCtM school with sticks and stones to attack their rivals, were chased away by DC's photographer with the help of the police on Thursday, they allegedly regrouped later in the evening and attacked an MCtM student near Meghala theatre in Otteri.
“Parents of the injured student had come here complaining. After seeing the photograph in DC, they also identified the students of ELM who attacked. We advised the parents to approach the ELM management. As per our request policemen were deployed at our gates on Friday,” a representative of MCtM school said. Based on complaints of parents of the injured student of MCtM school, the ELM school administration on Friday placed three students under suspension for their act on Thursday.
