Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday condemned the attack on Musunuru tahsildar S. Vanajakshi by a mob led by TD MLA Chintamaneni Prabahakar, who is facing several criminal cases.
After speaking to the tahsildar, Mr Naidu said the incident was “unfortunate.” He assured Ms Vanajakshi that action would be taken against the offenders after he returns from Delhi. He said it was his responsibility to ensure the safety of employees.
BJP leader Kavuri Sambasiva Rao demanded the arrest of Mr Prabhakar. He said that if no action was taken against the MLA, coalition partner BJP would also get bad name. Meanwhile, revenue department personnel struck work in the district demanding action on the MLA.
