As always, the casting of Mani Ratnam’s next project has been the subject of a lot of speculation. It all started with the news that Karthi, who was an assistant during his initial days in the industry, might play the lead in the director’s next movie. This was followed by the rumour that Shruti Haasan will also be a part of the project.
The latest is that veteran Malayalam star Mammootty might also be a part of the project. If everything goes well, film buffs can witness the coming together of the director and actor after more than two decades. It should be noted that Mani Ratnam, who delivered a hit with OK Kanmani, had earlier plans to make a film which stars Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan.
