Salman Khan worrying over Baahubali?

Baahubali’s jaw-dropping first day collections, around Rs 30 crore across India
Baahubali is doing so well that theatres across the country are now looking at increasing the numbers of screens and shows. Two multiplex chains in Bihar confirm that the number of shows for Baahubali is being increased from day three. Says an exhibitor from Bihar, “We are taking I Love NY off, it’s a disaster; we’re replacing it with Baahubali. The opening has surprised us all. Never before has a dubbed South Indian film scored so high at the box office.”
The exhibitor predicts that Baahubali will go on to become one of the biggest hits in the history of Indian cinema. But that may directly affect the prospects of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
A leading exhibitor from a big Mumbai multiplex chain says exhibitors won’t remove Baahubali even for Bajrangi Bhaijaan if the collections continue to grow.
“I am not saying that a Salman-starrer needs to feel threatened by any film, no matter how big a hit. But the fact is Baahubali is showing signs of becoming a much bigger hit than expected. It’s bound to affect Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It is likely that Bajrangi may not get the number of screens and theatres that it was expected to. Several theatres would rather continue with Baahubali. A certified blockbuster is any day a safer bet than a potential blockbuster,” says an executive from a multiplex chain.
Salman will now have to put all his might in ensuring that his film is released in as many theatres as planned. Interestingly, Baahubali has been written (and directed by S.S. Rajamouli), and Bajrangi Bhaijaan has been written by his father, K. Vijayendra Prasad.
