Leaked information reveals Xiaomi ready to launch two handsets this year
Xiaomi seems to have a strong standing in China—thanks to its high-end hardware smartphones on low price tags. After a couple of leaks, specifications of a new Xiaomi handset has surfaced on Weibo, a Chinese website.
According to the leaked specifications on Weibo, Xiaomi will unveil two new smartphones, or phablets, - the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus, which will offer 3GB and 4GB of RAM.

If the leaked information is to be believed, several key features will make these flagship handsets stand out differently:
- Display-size and chipset: Xiaomi Mi5 will feature a 5.2-inch screen and will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 chipset. However, on the other hand, the Mi 5 Plus variant is speculated to sport a 5.7-inch display and is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset .
- Camera: Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to offer a 16MP rear shooter and 13MP front-facing camera. Whereas, the Xiaomi Mi5 Plus phablet may sport a 24MP rear snapper and 12MP front shooter.
- Battery: The Xiaomi Mi5 will be fuelled by a 3000mAh battery, but Xiaomi Mi5 Plus will have a slightly bigger battery capacity i.e. 3500mAh battery. A report by Price Pony also stated that the Mi5 Plus is expected to be powered by a Q Charge – fast charging technology.
Media reports also state that Xiaomi jhas scheduled a new product launch conference for 16th July, 2015.
