Chennai: Our very own Chennai lad Ravichandran Ashwin Ashwin has added another feather to his cap. The young international cricketer, who got married to childhood sweetheart Prithi Narayanan in 2011 has become a father.

The baby girl was born at Fortis Malar hospital, Adyar on Thursday afternoon and weighs a healthy 3.1kgs. The thrilled new father shared the news with family first, then his friends, and congratulatory messages poured in from all quarters.

Baby girls seem to be lucky for our current crop of Indian cricketers. Gautam Gambhir, MS Dhoni and now R Ashwin are all proud dads of beautiful baby girls.
