Snake rescued from train toilet

A non-venomous, Bronzeback tree snake was rescued from the Hussainsagar Express
Hyderabad: A non-venomous, Bronzeback tree snake was rescued from the Hussainsagar Express at Nampally station by the anti-poaching department on Thursday. A coaching depot officer of the South Central Railway spotted the snake at around 11.10 am when it entered the AC1 coach of the Hussainsagar Express.
The CDO said some passengers noticed the reptile slithering into the toilet of the AC1 coach near Tandur station. They shut the toilet door and informed the train in-charge.
One Arun Kumar and the anti-poaching squad rushed to platform number 5 and rescued the snake.
“When the train arrived at Nampally Station, the reptile was rescued. It was hiding behind the dustbin. The reptile is a non-venomous Bronzeback tree snake. It was handed over to the Nehru Zoological Park for check-up and rehabilitation,” the team members said.
