Case against Bahubali exhibitors in Hyderabad High Court today

High Court to hear black tickets plea
Hyderabad: A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt of the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday said the court would hear on Friday, a PIL seeking to declare the inaction of authorities in controlling the blackmarketing of tickets of the Telugu film Bahubali by exhibitors as illegal. The movie scheduled to be released on Friday.
Mr M. Venugopal Rao of the Cine Preskhakula Viniyogadarula Sangham moved the PIL stating that the movie’s exhibitors were selling the tickets at rates that were higher than was permitted by the licensing authority and were running more than the mandated four shows per day.
Advocate G.L. Narasimha Rao, representing the petitioner, made a mention before the bench, urging it to take up the hearing as the action of the authorities was in violation to the provisions of AP Cinemas (Regulation) Act 1955. The bench said it would hear the matter on Friday and directed the registry to list the matter before it.
