Harish Rao slams Congress, TD for criticising Pranahita Chevella plan

“Congress and TD leaders were silent when a lot of injustice was done to Telangana in united AP” he said
Hyderabad: Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao lashed out at the Opposition, particularly Congress and Telugu Desam leaders for criticising Pranahita Chevella and other irrigation projects with half-baked knowledge and indulging in unwarranted criticism of the TRS government on every issue.
“TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy and Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka have no right to talk about Pranahita Chevella project. They are talking with half-baked knowledge. It has become a habit with them to criticise the TRS government on everything,” he said.
Questioning the Congress and TD leaders as to why they were silent on the illegal Pothireddy Project, he said the same leaders never came out when injustice was done to Telangana region.
“Congress and TD leaders were silent when a lot of injustice was done to Telangana in united AP. The Opposition is trying to confuse farmers with misleading statements on irrigation projects. Despite all conspiracies, the TRS government will construct all pending irrigation projects and ensure irrigation facilities to all the farmers in the state,” he said.
Mr Harish Rao said Y. S. Rajasekhar Rao provided water to Rayalseema at the cost of Telangana, yet Congress leaders were silence. “We will accept constructive criticism but not baseless allegations. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is striving hard to develop Telangana,” he added.
