Nana Patekar says he fights with everyone but has no enemies
Mumbai: Actor Nana Patekar agrees that he fights with everyone, but maintains that he has no enemies. Patekar, 64, who will be seen next in Anees Bazmee’s directorial, said that he even fought with the director but their Âarguments did not last for long.
“I had fights and Âarguments with Anees Bazmee but it doesn’t last for Âlong. Anees is a good Âdirector. It was nice, amazing experience working with him,” he said.
“I fight with everyone but I don’t have any enemies. There is no enmity with Âanyone,” Patekar said at the trailer launch of the film recently.
The Ab Tak Chhappan actor added that Bazmee Âprovides script to his actors at the very last moment. “I have only one problem (with Anees). He always gives the script at the last (moment). He gives it late in the night ... He wants us to do the scene next day,” he said.
The comedy drama, a sequel to the 2007 hit Welcome, also stars Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia.
When Anil was asked at the launch if it is true that Patekar is Âshort-tempered, the Marathi star interrupted and joked, “We just had a fight 10 Âminutes back on how to Âpresent this event.”
Anil was all praise for Patekar. “I have worked with a lot of big actors. I feel that both, nationally and Âinternationally, Nana is the best co-star.”
The sequel is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 4.
