DGCA: No charge for 15 kg luggage

DGCA has issued a fresh circular—amending their earlier circular
New Delhi: After the government recently rejected the proposal of airlines to charge passengers for check-in baggage on flights which is currently free upto 15 kg, aviation regulator DGCA too has issued a fresh circular— amending their earlier circular — and made it clear to airlines that “unbundling” of the check-in baggage is only “above 15 kg of free check-in baggage allowance”. An “unbundled” service means a service for which a separate charge on passengers can be levied.
