TRS faults Pawan Kalyan for backing Chandrababu Naidu

Harish Rao said Pavan Kalyan talked on various issues without knowledge & is backing AP CM

Hyderabad: The TRS lashed out at Jana Sena chief and actor Pavan Kalyan for backing Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu while being silent on the cash for vote scam.

It also attacked the Congress for making false and derogatory statements against the government and Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao. “Pavan Kalyan has maintained silence on the cash for vote scam where Telugu Desam MLA, Revanth Reddy was caught red handed. I don’t want to taint my image by talking about that person,” T. Harish Rao, irrigation minister said.

Harish Rao said Pavan Kalyan talked on various issues without knowledge and is backing the Andhra Pradesh CM in the cash for vote scam. The TRS leadership is also upset with Pavan Kalyan seeking a CBI probe into the alleged telephone tapping, civil war in Hyderabad and other comments on the T-government and maintaining silence on the Revanth Reddy video and Mr Naidu’s audio clippings pertaining to the scam.

To a question, he said the government would release Singoor waters for 10,000 acres of agriculture lands on August 15. He also asserted that the government would complete pending canal works in the area, if required with police protection and would not cow down by threats from some persons who are obstructing the smooth construction of canals.

Taking exception to Congress leaders attacking the TRS government, government chief whip Koppula Eshwar said Congress had destroyed the country and was involved in every major scam during its rule at the Centre and state.

“Congress leaders are criticising the government for criticism’s sake. They have no answers to our questions. The entire country appreciated the Chief Minister’s welfare and developmental schemes. The CM ensured a power cut free state. Telangana will be a power surplus state soon with 24,000 MW. Has Congress government ever given a thought to it?” he asked.

TRS MP, Balka Suman said the TRS government would accept constructive suggestions and criticism from the Opposition.
