Supreme Court to hear Rahul Gandhi's plea against defamation case
RSS had filed a complaint against Rahul for blaming the party for Mahatma Gandhi's death
New Delhi: The Supreme Court will hear Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's appeal against a defamation case on Wednesday.
The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) had filed a complaint against Rahul for allegedly blaming the organization for Mahatma Gandhi's assassination.
The apex court will also reportedly hear proceedings of two defamation cases against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, filed by Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.
The court will hear a petition filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, challenging the constitutional validity of the criminal defamation law.
The matter will come up for hearing on July 14.
