Rajahmundry: Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala China Rajappa said that three statues such as Telugu Thalli, Godavari Matha and Bharata Matha would be erected at Saraswathi Ghat. Inspecting the development works at Saraswathi Ghat in the city on Tuesday, Mr Rajappa said that prominent places and ghats would be given a facelift in view of upcoming Pushkaralu.
He said that the development works at the ghats have been completed and beautification works are being done at some ghats. The Deputy Chief Minister also expressed satisfaction over the ongoing works.
He said the police would take steps for smooth passage of traffic and would not create any problems for the visiting devotees and local people. He said that barricades for maintaining queue lines would be erected and all pending works would be completed by July 10.
