AP to develop 535 model schools in Ongole district
Ongole: The education department proposed to develop 535 schools as model schools to improve infrastructure like providing drinking water facility, construction of toilets, kitchen sheds for cooking and set up labs and computers to provide quality education to compete with corporate schools.
They will appoint a teacher for each class. At the behest of the government, the district administration began an exercise and proposed to develop 535 schools as model schools. At present there are 30 to 40 students in some high schools in the district. The officials will join the students in these schools in the nearest high schools. The education department officials will send proposals to this effect.
District education officer Muvva Ramalingam said “I will send proposals to develop 535 schools as model schools during the first phase to improve quality education and SSC pass percentage.”
