Former minister's house burgled
20 sovereigns of gold and cash of Rs 3.5 lakh were reported missing from the house
Chennai: House of former Union minister Dalit Ezhilmalai was found burgled by unknown intruders on Monday night when he and his family returned home at Selaiyur.He had left town on June 28.
Police said that 20 sovereigns of gold and cash of Rs3.5 lakh were reported missing from the house. The burglars had gained entry into the house after breaking the back door grill of the house. It is not clear when the crime has happened. Dalit Ezhilmalai was union minister in 1998-99 when he was with PMK. He later joined AIADMK and was elected as MP from Tiruchy in a bypoll.
