Music composer MS Viswanathan rushed to hospital, admitted in ICU

MS Viswanathan famously known as MSV in the southern filmdom, has taken ill and has been admitted to the ICU of Chennai-based Fortis Malar Hospital on Tuesday. Reportedly, celebrities and close friends of Vishwanathan have already started paying visits.

Viswanathan, 87, who was undergoing treatment for age-related ailments was rushed to the hospital after his condition deteriorated. He was admitted in the ICU when his pulse rate dropped and he faced breathing problems.

The composer entered the Tamil film industry in 1952 with ‘Panam’ featuring Sivaji Ganeshan. Along with fellow composer TK Ramamoorthy, Viswanathan composed music for 86 films over a decade.
