The event: “Ek Main aur Ek tu” will bring alive the magical romance of the leading on- screen pairs of Bollywood — in an exclusive premiere at 6.30 pm on July 18 at the Museum Theatre. The show is specially created for MSSI by Aarohi - Retro Music Bands, and will feature songs which were chart toppers on Vividh Bharati, but rarely performed as stage shows, given the nuances of orchestration and showcases the numbers of famous stars such as Raj Kapoor- Nargis , Gurudutt- Waheeda Rehman, Dev Anand – Madhubala, Dilip Kumar-Vaijayanthimala, Sadhana – Rajendra Kumar, Rajesh Khanna- Mumtaz, Amitabh Rekha, Dharam–Hema, Rishi Kapoor–Neetu Singh. This will be accompanied by a live orchestra conducted by Pioneer Suresh.
The most effective treatment to stem the progression of the disease are injections called “Beta Feron” costing Rs 7,600 per injection which has to be taken once a week. It is hoped to raise funds to provide financial help to the MS patients, particularly in ensuring them access to regular injections besides meeting the expenditure for awareness camps, rehabilitation programmes and medications.
