Research centre built by alumni of Osmania University
Hyderabad: Students of Osmania University’s Electronics and Communication Engineering department’s 1984-88 batch decided to help their alma mater, and the result is a brand new Academic Research Center measuring 4,250 square feet in the department’s building opposite the Osmania University College of Engineering.
The building costed Rs 70 lakh and it was borne entirely by the alumni. One of the alumni members said, “The Academic Research Center will house four research labs of which two can be converted into digital classrooms for remote learning. Even premier institutions conducting high level research can be asked to conduct a part of their research here which will enable students as well as faculty to get some hands on experience in world class research.”
The center was inaugurated by OU registrar, Prof. E. Suresh Kumar.
