Danam Nagender to AICC: Don’t act on rumours

Nagender he has no plans to quit the Congress as spread by some party leaders
Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee president Danam Nagender on Sunday cautioned AICC leaders against taking unilateral decisions after listening to complaint mongers. He said this tendency will ruin the party. Denying reports about him quitting the Congress, Mr Nagender said it is better for AICC leaders to depute a senior leader to TS to report on the correct picture of the Congress.
Addressing a news conference on Sunday here, the former minister said he has no plans to quit the Congress as spread by some party leaders. He said he would meet the Congress president within a day or two and present her a report on the functioning of the party in the state. He said that several leaders in the party including him were facing humiliation from AICC leaders just because they act on hearsays.
He rejected TD MLA Revanth Reddy’s claim that only the Reddys can take on TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao. “It is BCs, SCs, STs and minorities who constitute the major chunk of the population. Only a prominent BC leader can take on KCR. The Congress high command should not believe that only a Reddy can lead the Congress against TRS,” Mr Nagender added.
