He said that all the constructions in Krishna flood banks do not have any legality
Vijayawada: CPM capital region coordination committee convener Ch. Babu Rao asked the state government how rules and policies are different to the CM and poorer sections.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Mr Babu Rao said that the government is making arrangements for CM’s residence on Krishna flood banks while the officials are planning to remove houses of poorer sections from canal bunds.
The officials have issued notices to 1,000 families who are residing on the Krishna flood banks at Bhavanipuram, he added. He demanded why the government is implementing rules differently for poorer sections and the Chief Minister.
He also asked how the BJP and the TD are making plans to construct state offices in the limits of Krishna flood banks. He asked the government to reveal facts on land acquisition process.
The government should answer if it has given relaxation for guesthouses of rich men which are constructed in the limits of Krishna flood banks agai-nst the rules, he added.
He said that all the constructions in Krishna flood banks do not have any legality and all are against the River Conser-vancy Act. Moreover, the owners of CM’s proposed residence did not get any approval from any authority and only they have swimming pool permission, he added.
