AP to invite Modi to inaugurate Polavaram project

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be invited to inaugurate the spillway and head regulator works of Polavaram project on Vijayadasami, October 22, when the foundation stone for the construction of Amaravati will be laid.
“We are going to request the PM to fly to Polavaram from Amaravati to start the work there. Since Polavaram is the lifeline of AP, we want to conduct it in a big way,” irrigation minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said.
