The trailer of Dhanush’s Maari released to unanimous adulation and already has more than 2 million views on YouTube. The racy, trend-setting trailer had the actor in a local avatar, just as its makers claimed, and the presence of Kajal Aggarwal and Vijay Yesudas laced with a peppy background score, was the icing on the cake.
The trailer has also been a thumping success on social networking sites. Now, movie buffs have started creating different versions of it with their own favourite film stars and sports stars.
The Rajinikanth version of ‘Maari’, the Ajith version, ones with Vijay, Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, are some of the popular ones which are doing the rounds on social networking sites. Some have even made versions with Pirates of the Caribbean and other Hollywood flicks! Going by the current craze for the trailer, it would be no great wonder if netizens come up with even more versions.
