KCR says Pranab is knowledgeable like a ‘computer’
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday described President Pranab Mukherjee as the tallest personality in the country and a ‘computer’ who has immense knowledge of various subjects. Speaking at the release of Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao’s book Uniki (existence), the CM said the President always advised him to maintain his cool. The CM narrated a story by President about a Professor in Iran.
When Britons asked the professor what he wants, pat came the reply ‘nothing but freedom of my country.’“Whenever the President asked me what do you want Chandrasekhar, I used to say I want Telangana. He appreciated it. He said I am lucky since I achieved Telangana while alive. We used to call President Pranab Da. Whenever I come across Pranab Da I touch his feet and seek his blessings, the Chief Minister said.
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan called Mr Vidyasagar Rao a multifaceted personality and complimented him on writing a book while Union labour minister, Bandaru Dattatreya called him an astute and dignified politician.
Mr Vidyasagar Rao described it as a memorable day and thanked one and all. He said the idea of writing the book came from a journalist Nagabhushanam and was backed by family. He called his long innings in politics and his role in the Assembly as floor leader was supported by his big family of eight sisters and four brothers including Ch Rajeshwara Rao.
