Jayasudha to quit politics
Actress-turned-politician Jayasudha is thinking about quitting politics to concentrate on her acting career and charity work. A source says, “Jayasudha is always working hard and is a big helping hand. Though she joined politics to serve people, she doesn’t want to continue as she can’t play the political game. Moreover, she is upset with the recent political scenario in both states and doesn’t want to continue any more.”
The actress was hurt when many Congress leaders had pointed fingers when she met Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to invite him for her son’s music launch. “It was a courtesy call and it’s completely personal. But few Congress men made it an issue which made her very disappointed,” adds the source.
The Congress wants to use her services for the coming GHMC elections, but she wants to announce her retirement before that. Sources say that now that her younger son Shreyan Kapoor has entered films, Jayasudha wants to spend some time to guide him.
