Horror flick Daisy is believed to be based on real life incidents. An eight-year old child artiste Anu has enacted the central character of the film Daisy, who is a ghost. Debutant director Srinath Ramalingam claims that Daisy is not just another run-of-the-mill story of a possessed person, but has an intriguing plot. In the past horror movies have aimed to draw sympathy towards the ghost by giving an emotional spin to it.
Daisy seems to follow a similar trajectory. “It is about an the girl’s spirit longing for love. The whole film is inspired from real life incidents. This story has a strong message for the society. Though it belongs to the horror genre, I wanted to add an emotional touch to reach a wider audience,” says Srinath. Deepak Paramesh and Jacqueline Prakash will play the lead roles in the film.
