Stalin approaches Madras High Court over civic issues in Kolathur
Chennai: DMK treasuer and legislator from Kolathur, M.K. Stalin has approached the Madras high court stating that state government has been neglecting civic issues in his constituency.In his petition, Stalin alleged that civic issues were taking backseat in his constituency due to non-cooperation of officials from the state government and Chennai corporation.
The authorities were neglecting the basic needs, including drinking water requirements of people. The authorities were not taking effective steps to develop infrastructure facilities.The authorities had not taken effort to redress the grievance of 400 persons who applied for various welfare schemes. When the petition came up for hearing, Justice M. Sathyanarayanan directed the government advocate to get instructions on the issue and adjourned the matter to July 22.
