Family counselling centre launched in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mohammed Mahamood Ali on Thursday inaugurated the first ever marriage counselling centre constituted by the government at Haj House, Nampally.
Mr Ali said that the government had constituted the exclusive marriage counselling centre to settle cases of marital discords and other problems in the light of legal provisions and respective personal law.
He assured that the government would delegate the required powers to the members of the counselling centre to solve the marital disputes in an amicable manner and give counseling to both parties on their rights and responsibilities.
While saying that such centres would be set up in all the districts of the state, the deputy chief minister said that the counsel centres would have legal experts and scholars in Muslim personal law to guide couples and settle their disputes.
Secretary of the minorities welfare department Syed Omer Jaleel said that the Hyderabad Centre would function under a panel headed by retired judge Mr E. Ismail.
