AP Chief Minister invites China’s Dailan group to invest in AP

Vijayawada: China’s Dalian Wanda group has expressed interest to set up industries in Andhra Pradesh.

The five-member team of Dalian Wanda group visited various locations in Krishna district here on Thursday for studying the available facilities to set up industries.

AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently interacted with Dalian group chairman in New Delhi and had invited him to start industries in AP.

The team visited various locations and interacted with officials of industries and Capital Regional Development Authority (CRDA).

On this occasion, AP Industrial infrastructure Corporation MD K. V. Satyanarayana explained that South Asian countries’ goods could take six days less to reach AP over Gujarat through sea.

He added that the state government is developing six major ports along with water transportation across the 900 km huge coastline.

He informed that nearly one lakh acres of land bank is available in Prakasam district.

He also said that land costs between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 24 lakh an acre in AP, while they cost a whopping Rs 84 lakh an acre on an average in Karnataka and Gujarat.

Price ranges from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh per acre in Anantapur district, he informed.

He said that three corridors have been set up between Vishaka and Chennai, Chennai and Bangalore and Vishakapatnam and Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh.

CRDA commissioner N. Srikanth said that the new capital Amaravati would come up at Krishna river side for which farmers have donated 33,000 acres.

He said that the government would construct five bridges on Krishna river and complete other important constructions within two years.

Krishna district collector A. Babu said that the government has taken up water projects to store sufficient water for irrigation and drinking water purpose.

The four-way lane express highway and Machilipatnamport would be completed as early as possible, he added.
