In a tweet, the actress said, 'Boys & girls that should be marching ahead are robbed of capacity to achieve physical & mental potential due to anaemia'.
Priyanka, who did her research on the same said that the problem could be effectively addressed by consuming nutritious food and becoming aware about it.
However, 56 per cent of girls and 30 per cent of boys in the age group between 15 years and 19 years in India suffer from anemia. The majority of them are also stunted, she said.
